Advocacy
We believe that women and children in Afghanistan from different walks of life deserve as much support as women and children in other corners of the world. While women and children in Afghanistan are losing many possible government and civil non-governmental organizations’ support for their needs, we tackle a different set of challenges:
- Violations Against Women’s Rights: Advocating for international attention to the situation of women and expanding assistance to local and women-led organizations.
- Protection of Children’s Rights: Advocating for a broad range of children’s rights and needs while promoting evidence-based recommendations for the international community.
- Shifting Narratives: Raising awareness about the importance of supporting local initiatives that women and men create to address their needs. Their narrative is that hope has not died, and we deliver services even underground and undercover.
Community Building
We are building a community for new ideas that go beyond traditional spaces with consideration of changes on the ground. Our center provides services tailored to the unique challenges of women and children:
- Psychosocial Services & Mentorship: Programs to support women facing trauma and survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) with free groups and a mentorship network.
- Training: Provide materials on women’s and children’s rights, Trauma-informed care, and Children protection.
Documentation Around two key pillars of Combating Human Trafficking
Prevention: Actively working to prevent human exploitation through documentation, education.
- Documenting cases to raise awareness of the exploitation of children.
- Educating communities about the dangers and signs of trafficking.
- Engaging in campaigns to inform parents, communities, and local groups.
Partnership: Collaborating with local and international organizations and individuals to amplify.
- Collaborating with local and international organizations to amplify the voices and needs of communities.
- Building alliances that drive meaningful and lasting solutions that can be implemented in the current context of Afghanistan.
